FDK (Eff Dem Kids) is a live comedy show for adults – because kids don’t earn laughs, you do!

The (sorta) monthly, slam dunk show started last Fall, at Young Ethel’s in Brooklyn. It is hosted and created by Hollie Harper and Emily Flake.

It opens with “This Week’s Trash” – the hosts’ cutting, visual take on the news. Then we feature 4 comics – all over 35, mostly parents, evenly split by gender and race. In between, the hosts launch the Half-time Show – a snarky visual list with scathing commentary such as “If Celebs Were On the Playground” with Emily’s visuals (hello? cartoonist for the New Yorker). Then Hollie debuts a funny song accompanied by Ben Tyree (The Late Show with David Letterman). Lastly, they chase 70s & 80s nostalgia, with old-school jingle crowd singalongs…YES!

It’s a delicious comedy show for all the adults who never feel seen. It’s FDK…Eff Dem Kids!
