MURRAY HILL, NYC legend, comedian and international entertainment phenomenon, is the “hardest working middle-aged man in show business.” ABOUT TO BREAK, Murray’s full-length solo comedy show, is written and performed by Hill and developed with Tony Award-winning and OSCAR nominated Scott Wittman. Renowned as a comic host around the world, this show puts Hill center stage and showcases his comedy chops and indefatigable shtick. Murray is a compelling cocktail of throwback and progressive, deconstructing the song and gag cracking, sharp-suited lags of the Borscht Belt and Vegas. With his tight tux, frilly shirt and bow tie the size of a decent tablecloth, “he’s not just an impressive stand-up but a master of wit, improv and oddball comedy.” He’ll be joined by his swinging band The Early Bird Specials. He’s been touring with comedian/singer BRIDGET EVERETT, COUNTESS LUAAN from The Real Housewives of New York, shticking at Bally’s in Vegas, and starring in his annual sold-out A Murray Little Christmas. Murray was awarded The New York Voices commission from Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater. He performed his stand-up at JUST FOR LAUGHS and EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL. He’s toured the U.S. extensively with DITA VON TEESE and starred in two seasons at The Sydney Opera House in CLUB SWIZZLE which toured festivals throughout Australia. He hosted the pop culture show SHOWBIZ on MTV’s digital network, and was the U.S. Showbiz Correspondent for Channel 4 in UK. Other TV: TLC’s LI Medium, LOGO’s New Now Next and Cocktails & Classics, HBO’s Bored to Death, BRAVO’s Watch What Happens Live, HBO’s Taxi Cab Confessions, BRAVO’s Real Housewives of New York. He’s been included in “Best of New York” lists in Time Out, PAPER, New York Magazine; inducted into PAPER’s “Nightlife Hall of Fame”; selected as OUT magazine’s Top 100 influential performers twice; and included in New York Magazine’s “Fifty Most Iconic Gender Benders of All Time.” He was recently featured in Vogue, GQ, and The New York Times. He’s currently writing a book, developing a TV show, and trying to loose 2-3 pounds before 2020.
